The LORNO System on our hydrants controls the use and the water level by remote transmission of events (7x24 using an automated reporting push system) The user is informed via E-mail and/or SMS and can view the details online without having to be present onsite.
THE SYSTEM THROUGH THE HYDRANT
LORNO through the hydrant is a modular principle. It can either be used for sole remote surveillance or it can be installed together with the leak detection.
Thanks to the system, each water withdrawal from the hydrant is registered and can be configured on demand to trigger an alarm through SMS. After each usage of the hydrant, the water level in the hydrant is controlled and in case the drainage doesn’t work (clogged drain or trapped foreign objects in the main valve), a report is sent.
All reports are documented in the online application LORNO LCU.
The requirement to self-regulation that is prescribed by Swiss law is supported through QS-approved reporting.

Possibilities of Installation
- LORNO valve rod with hydrophone to enable the leak detection function in addition to hydrant monitoring.
